Hello. My name is Lisa K. and I am a glass etcher, glass lamp-maker, woodburn/pyrography artist, woodworker (lazy Susans; outdoor address signs), bracelet-maker, poet, writer, lyricist, personal assistant, LGBTQ+ member, person with bipolar disorder, Broadway fan, and former sign language interpreter who enjoys working from home. I'm from Hawaii, but I've lived in New York City for 29 years and still adore it, believe it or not.
I have 3 self-bound books of poems, In These Thoughts; Arising From Sullen Earth; and Walking Backward, So You See My Face, as well a book of excerpts called Will Work for Meds. The first book was used as a prop in the Pulitzer Prize-winning Broadway musical, "Next to Normal," having been chosen by Tony Award winner, Alice Ripley.
I occasionally create websites, like this one and Next to Normal: the Musical & the Mindset.
I look forward to creating the exact woodburned or etched piece you want. You can also commission me to write a poem that matches the theme of your wood or glass piece, or a standalone poem, or song lyrics.
The best is yet to come.
Lisa K.
